Our son asked me to translate the characters on this T-Shirt that his friend brought him from Hong Kong.
I thought it made a nice New Year greeting.
The top two characters (in gold) say "Hong Kong."
The four vertical characters have the connotation of
"Smooth Sailing."
(Literally "one ship wind following.")
It puts me in mind of the old Navy saying, "fair winds and following seas,"
which is what I wish all of you in this new year of 2013.
"Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth..."
